I AM A WARRIOR!
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013, I have spent the last 10+ years creating systems, practices, and habits to manage the daily WTF's that come along with an autoimmune disease diagnosis.
The MS-ing Around Wellness Day Retreat is centered around sharing the tips and tools that have helped me endure the war with MS. We bring together doctors and specialist in a positive environment of community and learning in hopes to educate and empower.
The MS-ing Around Comedy show FUNdraiser is just that. A comedy show created with MS Warriors in mind and in heart. It's a night of laughter, community, give-aways, and more laughter. MS-ing Around is a 501(c)(3) and committed to amplifying the importance of Wellness and comminuty.
As a professional comedian, I wanted to share a slice of my life under one roof with those who can truly identify with me beyond race, color, or gender, and even though autoimmune diseases are bias to women, anyone can be effected.
I hope you will join us this year in celebrating LIFE, WELLNESS, HOPE, AND POSSIBILITY.
MS-ing Around is a Hyde Park, Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by comedian/actress Kellye Howard-Jue. We provide education, awareness, support, resources, community events, and outings for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis. We focus on the inner city MS experience and advocate for health policies for people of color affected by numerous autoimmune diseases.
